Taking inspiration from the fragrant aromas of home-made meals along the narrow alleyways of Shanghai, Chef Yuchun Cheung emphasizes flavor over fancy decor. In his Murray Hill kitchen, a staff made entirely of Shanghainese locals delivers traditional (and perfectly spicy) Shanghainese dishes like smoked carp, fish soup with pickled mustard greens, dong po pork, rice cakes, stir-fried thick noodles, and soup dumplings.
