Celebrating Indie Rock in Brooklyn

Degraw Sound’s daylong gathering features music, beer, and good food in Gowanus.

Summer weekends may be filled with massive music festivals—we know ours are—but pencil in some of the smaller gigs, too. Hosted by Brooklyn’s Degraw Sound studio, the small, beautifully curated Degraw Fest is being held at one of our favorite venues, Littlefield Performance + Art Space in Gowanus. Among the bands performing will be Elliot and the Ghost, Eighty Ninety, AMFM, and Queue. You might not know all of these groups, but chances are you’ll know a few very well, very soon.

Why You Should Go: Redoubtable What Should We Do?! scout Ross Tipograph, for one, is excited. He tells us, “Attendees can enjoy a stacked lineup of new bands from the studio’s label, while feasting eyes and mouths on a daylong sprawling array of drinks [provided by Brooklyn-based Brazen Brewing] and food [from Italian street food vendor Cheech A’ Cini’s Truckin Trattoria].” We pretty much say “yes” to any chance to support local bands, chefs, and brewers, so we’ll see you there!
