Whether you’re passing through Los Angeles International Airport for five minutes or five hours, you’re going to need some places where the whole family can dine and unwind. Lucky for you, JetBlue’s Terminal 5 has been recently upgraded with a fresh look, and its offers plenty of fun things to keep you busy until boarding time.

EAT: A Delicious Taco at ¡Loteria!

A quick taco—on a handmade warm tortilla no less—is one of the best things the Original Farmers’ Market in Los Angeles has to offer. Now it’s also your best bet for an on-the-go nosh the whole family will love at Terminal 5.

SHOP: For Non-Touchscreen Toys at Mattel Experience

For the kid who prefers the tangible over the touchscreen, this is the place to be: Barbie, Hot Wheels, and other Mattel toys galore crowd the shelves. Bonus: a kid-size Hot Wheels display where your charge can jump behind the wheel for the perfect photo op.

SNACK: On Sweet Treats at See’s Candies

This beloved SoCal confectioner is located at a charming kiosk just past security, making it the perfect first stop on the way to your gate. Make sure to get enough for yourself, too, or you’ll be tempted to swipe some of your kids’ haul. It’s that good!

DO: Re-LAX at LAX Beach

Take the kids for a short stroll and then hit the “beach” at this play space, where they can romp with soft foam animals and have other beach-themed fun with 100 percent less risk of sunburn.

Where are you headed next? We’ve got a plan for that!
