Last Saturdays Discotheque at Bar Biscay
I don’t know about you, but once I’ve polished off a plate of anchovy toast, I just wanna dance to disco. West Town’s wildly popular Bar Biscay meets my needs with a new monthly series called Last Saturdays Discotheque, featuring various DJs spinning ’70s disco tunes late at night following dinner service, with plenty of porrons and vermouth to go around. The inaugural event boasts DJ Big Dumb Caesar, aka Archie Powell, and period attire is of course encouraged.Details: July 27, midnight-2 a.m., and every last Saturday of the month going forwardShark Week Fundraiser at Easy Bar
As someone who grew up obsessed with Jaws, begging my parents to rent it from the video store on a weekly basis (why didn’t we just purchase it?), I am all about Shark Week, and I am prepared to celebrate accordingly. The best way to do so is with the Shark Week fundraiser going down at Easy Bar, which is donating a portion of proceeds from its special Totally Jawsome! cocktail to the World Wildlife Fund between July 28 and August 4. The drink features an appropriately seaworthy blend of Captain Morgan white rum, Diplomatico Exclusiva Reserva dark rum, Luxardo, peach bitters, and Herbsaint.Details: July 28–August 4, $8 drink specialLollapalooza Trivia Night at Chicken & Farm Shop
