Who says New Year’s Eve is all about champagne? As these breweries and beer-swilling restaurants prove, the holiday is just as befitting a pint glass as it is a flute. From all-you-can-eat pizza and a Belgian-inspired fete to special tap takeovers and sci-fi vibes, these are some of the best brewery celebrations in Chicagoland for New Year’s Eve.

Ticket includes 10-ounce pours of its core beers, a custom buffet, special midnight toast, and a DJ (i.e., dancing).

Big Star 3 Floyds Tap Takeover
Now you really don’t have to leave the city proper to imbibe fresh pours of 3 Floyds, thanks to both the Wrigleyville and Wicker Park Big Star locations swapping out their taps for Munster’s finest craft brewery. Big Star is also swapping out its menu—tacos and chips will make way for sliders and fries, and instead of the ubiquitous champagne toast, it’s a comped shot of Buffalo Trace.
Details: December 31, 6 p.m.–2 a.m.

District Brew Yards NYE Party
2019 is the year that birthed District Brew Yards, a collective of four breweries with a pour-your-own beer hall and barbecue eatery under one roof. Now it’s capping off the year and ringing in a new one with a barbecue buffet, unlimited beer (and mind you, that is from 40 different pour-your-own taps), and four specialty shots curated by the brewers.
