Sweet Rides at a Brooklyn Pumptrack

A pop-up pumptrack in Williamsburg brings BMX to Brooklyn.

Tucked between the old Domino Sugar factory and new high-rises along the East River in Williamsburg is a hidden gem for BMX and mountain bike riders of all ages, from toddlers to their parents. The Velosolutions Pumptrack Brooklyn boasts a sweet paved pump track where you can catch unobstructed skyline views as you fly over the berms (mounds). It’s a relaxed vibe here, and parents can chill on the picnic tables of the neighboring North Brooklyn Farms while the kids take their loops—whether on bikes, skateboards, or scooters.

Make it here before the end of the summer, when it could be gone for good. The staff told us they’re leasing the land from developers who have their own plans for the space, and they’re looking for a new spot to set up track.
