Begyle Brewing
A reliable mainstay of the Chicago beer scene, Begyle enchants taste buds with a variety of traditional American craft beer options and stimulates minds on the last Thursday of every month at 7 p.m.

Mikerphone Brewing
Mikerphone knows how to keep things interesting. In addition to regularly scheduled food trucks, bingo night, and even its own version of karaoke night, its taproom hosts a themed trivia night every third Wednesday at 7 p.m. Past themes have included Star Wars, Chicago sports, and many popular TV series. Now the real challenge is to keep up with the brewery’s constantly rotating ingredient-heavy beer lineup.

Alter Brewing
Baig of Tricks Entertainment hosts Tuesday night trivia at Alter in suburban Downers Grove at 7 p.m. Show up for scheduled theme trivia like Disney, Rick and Morty, and The Office, or truly put your Jeopardy skills to the test on general knowledge trivia. Winners receive discounts on their bar tabs.

Marz Community Brewing
Is your mind completely adrift and aimless on the first and third Tuesday of every month? Then head down to Bridgeport (you know, the community of the future) for pub trivia at Marz. Quiz Mercenary runs the games at 8 p.m. with some fun twists, and, hey, free beer for the winners.

Scorched Earth Brewing
This spacious taproom in the northwest suburbs is the perfect spot to gather with your most erudite friends every Thursday at 7 p.m. for a stimulating round of trivia. While the big brains show off their meaningless knowledge, you can relax and appreciate Scorched Earth’s wide selection of American- and European-style ales and lagers.

Temperance Beer Co.
Temperance trivia happens at its Evanston taproom every Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. Maybe all the questions center around the Prohibition era, but I doubt it, because that would get boring fast. Its name might refer to a superlame movement, but this brewery’s vibe is definitely not stale or sober.

Beer on the Wall
This beer store/café with 12 rotating taps has made a name for itself by providing great service, a huge selection, and a relaxed event space. Now take advantage of its beer-soaked hospitality every Wednesday at 7 p.m. during trivia night, held in its neighboring Off the Wall Cafe.

The Green Lady
Brains around Roscoe Village gather to flex their wits every Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Green Lady’s trivia night. Sometimes it will have trivia on Sunday as well, and it hosts weekly euchre nights, too. It’s just a fun-loving place with an unrivaled beer selection, thanks to the owners’ long-standing connection to the Chicago beer community.

Roaring Table
Things you need to know: Lake Zurich has a lake and it is home to Roaring Table Brewery. Established in 2017, Roaring Table offers a sophisticated taproom environment with exceptionally well-produced beers. Plus, every Thursday at 7:30 p.m., there’s a lively trivia night that may be general or themed, so check ahead so you’re not thrown off by your lack of princess knowledge on Disney night.
