As a designated Cultural Monument for its early and significant role in the LGBTQ civil rights movement, what was a gay bar-slash-laundromat decades ago now features a genuinely mixed crowd of gays, non-gays, whatevers, someones, and whoevers. This is a favored cocktail spot amongst TV and film writers, and sometimes young actors too. Dinner’s completely fine. Happy Hour’s one of the best on the east side.
