Why We Love It

A time machine of a restaurant with delightful brasserie bites like moules frites and steak tartare, The Odeon will send you straight back to the 1980s. That's when Brat Pack writers like Jay McInerney made this Tribeca spot at least regionally famous by hanging here and fictionalizing randy evenings. It's still worth a trip to see how new New York copes with the literary ghosts of its past—and for the martinis and burgers!
