Part beer garden, part cocktail bar, part music joint, Resident has carved out a space for itself as an unpretentious, flexible gathering spot for all kinds of partygoers in the Arts District. The main draw is the expansive patio, which on weekends conjures up the kind of laid-back, buzzed backyard party you always wished you could achieve at your own place, with food trucks and a refurbished trailer serving drinks to boot. The industrial section inside has a full bar and plenty of dance floor to groove to the DJ, but be warned that most evenings the room becomes a ticket-only music venue. Don’t worry, there are always the heaters, food trucks, and beer to keep you toasty out on the patio.
