There is a place where fire rises to the ceiling, plants dangle from the corners, and flavors hail from far off lands. That’s one way to describe Ricardo Zarate’s West Hollywood restaurant. The other: It’s a bustling, sexy spot for some of the best ceviches, anticuchos, and Peruvian-style grilled fish anywhere. Bonus: an entire vegetarian menu too. As good for groups willing to share everything as it is for a date tucked in a back corner, the night should start with cocktails and end with fried rice paella.
